Scientists classified half of the 18 penguin species as either Vulnerable or Endangered. The Faroe Islands, an archipelago located between Norway and Iceland, has been in the news for its annual whale hunt, known as the "Grindadrap" or "Grind."
The hunt involves driving pods of pilot whales and other cetaceans into shallow waters and slaughtering them for their meat and blubber. The bats are the only mammals that are capable of true flight. Almost 1,000 bat species can be found worldwide. In fact, bats make up a quarter of all mammal species in our world!
